Market Update

We are seeing market conditions that are extremely similar to this time last year - buyer demand is high and increasing and competition is fierce. It’s not uncommon for a property that is presented and priced well to have anywhere from 10-30 offers right now. Buyers are prepared to bid well over asking and to waive all contingencies to be able to compete in this strong seller’s market.

If you are buying, don’t wait. Prices and interest rates are on the rise. We are active in the market and will guide you through the process with the latest data on how to best market your home or to present your most competitive offer.

Austin was one of only two metros to appear in the top 10 in any of Knock’s three categories: millennials, Gen Xers, and baby boomers.

On average, a house was only listed for 20 days in the Austin area before it was scooped up by a buyer, less than half the amount of time houses spent on the market in 2020. This story dives into the latest statistics available for the local housing market.
