In 2020, after she and her husband Mark finished a years-long remodel on their forever home that was featured in Colorado Homes & Lifestyle, she decided to make the leap into real estate as her full-time career. She purchased a neighboring property as her first major solo design and renovation project and began studying to get her real estate license. As licensed agent, she is able to help her clients identify the properties in the Boulder metro area that will best meet their needs as-is, as well as apply her unique vision and design/build knowledge. As summer winds down, the market is shifting in expected ways - cooling slightly, but still showing strong momentum. Prices are stabilizing, with a modest uptick in the City of Austin and a slight dip across the broader MSA. Sales in the city held steady, while the larger Austin area experienced about an 8% decline. Inventory continues to climb, giving buyers more options, and pending sales are on the rise across the board.
Traditionally, six months of inventory is considered a “balanced” market, but many sellers aren’t experiencing it that way. Buyers are watching closely, often circling homes before making a move…until that standout property comes along and sparks multiple offers. As we head into fall, sales typically take on a more measured pace, yet attractive interest rates and the possibility of a Fed rate cut could reignite buyer activity.
